This intentionally crude piece features a small thick ceramic saucer once used by my mother, and perhaps by her mother, possibly on a dressing table to hold hair pins. There were two, and I broke this one... and repaired it very badly. I added a bit of gold paint over the repairs, and mounted it into this old scrap of wood.
