Repairs

Magic wands were selected and distributed last Sunday, and later the same day I realized that I had not anticipated the consequences of this project.  There was a knock on the door of my studio, and a wand owner brandished her wand in both hands (i.e. in two pieces:-)).  So there is a new sign on my studio door, and one repaired wand waiting to picked up by the young magician:

All But One

All but one Magic Wand are on display now at the RoseWind Common House, along with my own personal magic staff… not included in the photo above.

The missing wand was made and given in memory of Robin Cubberly, who is now missing from our midst.

Broken Bamboo

I planned to make a collage piece with this broken bamboo trivet, but it is a favorite nostalgia piece for me. Since I have not been able to find a replacement like it online, I think I will have to try repairing it instead! Digital collage only…
