New carving in very delicate flawed alabaster. This stuff is SOFT, and working it a bit like whittling. I used my electric rotary tool to get started, now riffles and files. The piece is small, about 7″ x 7″ x 3″.

Magic wands were selected and distributed last Sunday, and later the same day I realized that I had not anticipated the consequences of this project. There was a knock on the door of my studio, and a wand owner brandished her wand in both hands (i.e. in two pieces:-)). So there is a new sign on my studio door, and one repaired wand waiting to picked up by the young magician:
