I love to reuse/repurpose many things in 3-D assemblage art pieces. I made a repurposed gamebox that charmed me. The found box was missing the sliding lid, and is a bit crudely made, but still quite neat and handsome enough. Stamped writing on one end of the box identifies it as “Parlor Table Croquet”! Did you know that such a game existed?

So I transformed this into a small curio cabinet, complete with a handle and a new sliding front. I fitted it out to be displayed on one long side. Then I created a special stand on top to let you display the sliding door and show the cabinet interior.

It is all just for fun, with aluminum flashing, a lovely worn knot of wood, painted cardboard and an truly fabulous piece of broken veined stone.
