Probable Arrangement for 3-part hinged “box”

Mouse Box
This is quick experiment with a hollow SculptaMold project, made by working over crumpled newspaper (later removed). I added rigid plastic under the delicate tail, then used this to close the opening underneath with a hinged flap. So this mouse became a rather makeshift box, and a Christmas present for Fionna.

Humorous Assembly
First Man Standing
First full figure cast. The mold for this was made over a pieced together figure: a head & torso in plaster from a previous “thick figure” cast, then carved/modified & joined to clay legs. I used brush on latex, and a 4 part “Sculptamold” mother mold (took ages to dry, not a good choice of material). Now I have my first complete concrete figure with cast legs. Previous figures had metal bolt legs that I then wrapped with cement fabric, etc.
Rework of a print
Almost there
This is (intentionally 🙂 painted on rough distressed primed board: it is not smooth uniformly colored or textured! Note that It doesn’t look quite as splotchy in real life (at least to my eyes :-). Need better photography, better lighting, etc.
This is 19″ x 23.25″ on 3/4″ plywood: too big to scan in two passes on my scanner. Matching up scans both horizontally and vertically is really a pain, and will be inaccurate since I have no way to keep my work oriented as I scan the parts. Frustrating!
And now…
This one is all flesh, no bones about it 🙂 Very different. I am drawing on a very rough, poorly primed heavy board, and enjoying the texture & rough feel. But as I work further, and am struggling a bit with the various surfaces & flaws. Given the rough substrate, I think I will be leave this piece fairly rough and sketchy in its final form.
