Digital combinations:  at left I combine two watercolors, digitally altered, over a gradient, at right scanned a tree stencil,& layered with scanned watercolor rocks, again layered over a gradient background.  There is a bit more to it than this:  selecting, trimming, rearranging, etc. to create something altogether new.
